Dani Luque runner-up Spain Cup CXM 2024

Last Sunday, October 17, our elite trail athlete Dani Luque was proclaimed runner-up in the Spain mountain running cup after completing a spectacular event in the final of Macael, where he achieved a worthy second place that granted him that global podium. The athlete from Priego de Córdoba, who is in exceptional shape, thus fulfills one of the objectives he set for 2024. In terms of feelings, Dani Luque himself left us these words in an interview:

"It's hard to explain what I felt when crossing the finish line, as from the very first moment I set out to fight for that goal we had set since the beginning of the year, which is a podium in the absolute cup of Spain.

"In the end, with only a few meters left, I saw that second place was not slipping away from me and I arrived super excited... The only thing that came to me at that moment was to throw myself on the ground and if I had any water in my body, it would have all come out in the form of tears of joy for seeing that everything had gone well and the goal had been achieved."

Until achieving this milestone, the journey has not been easy. There were 4 events distributed throughout the Spanish territory that put the athlete to the test:

- Miranda de Ebro (Castilla León): 4th overall

- Trencacims (Cataluña): 90th overall

- Igualeja (Málaga): 7th overall

- Final Macael (Almería): 2nd overall
